HHH Continuum of Care Applauds Our Leaders!

Besides being great leaders of our organization, many of our top management personnel are also leaders in the Elder-care and Home-care industry.

We would like to congratulate our CEO, Ms. Mary Frances Barrett, on becoming a member of the Board of Directors for LeadingAge New York. Founded in 1961, LeadingAge New York, formerly the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (NYAHSA), represents not-for-profit, mission-driven and public continuing care providers, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and community service providers. Located just outside of Albany, the organization and its members have quick access to the Capitol, the Department of Health and state lawmakers. Their mission statement is to “create the future of aging and continuing care services in New York State,” and the organization vows to “promote a community where consumers, providers, and government work together to achieve and sustain high quality services.”

The HHH Continuum of Care is proud that our CEO is an integral part of the law-making process that affects elder-care and organizations such as ours. This is further evidence of our committment to advocacy for the eldercare industry and the individuals and families that rely on eldercare services on a daily basis.

We would also like to recognize Maura Bordas, the Vice-President of the Hebrew Hospital Home Community Programs, for her leadership in the industry of elder-care and home care. Maura is on the Board of Directors for the Home Care Association, as well as the Vice President of the MLTCP/PACE Cabinet of Leading Age New York. The Home Care Association is New York State’s premier home care association, and represents more than 400 providers, individuals and associate members who collectively serve thousands of New Yorkers. Its purpose is to communicate with policymakers in Albany and Washington on behalf of “our mission-driven providers and dedicated home care workers,” and it is a great resource for home care policy information, the latest in education and training, and home care news.
