Hebrew Hospital Home’s Adult Day Health Care Program has Psychiatric specialty
“A Program within A Program”
Every day is a challenge for the thousands of people living with mental illness and the caregivers who provide daily support. The Hebrew Hospital Home of Westchester Adult Day services have once again expanded their services to meet the needs of an underserved population. The service is called A Program within A Program.
The idea behind the new service is to allow participants suffering from mental illness to receive specific Day Treatment during the course of their Adult Day Health Care Day. The different components include:
- A Primary Care Psychiatrist providing consistent treatment allowing the participant to form one to one relationships with their psychiatrist.
- Two support groups that are specifically designed to encourage the expression of issues and feelings of concern and to support encapsulating affective symptoms.
The combination of the above is designed to help the enrolled program participant remain stable within the community and reduce the recidivism to chronic care psychiatric institutions.
The Hebrew Hospital Home of Westchester Adult Day Services Program has been providing exceptional care to residents of Westchester County and the Bronx since 1989. Over the years the Adult Day Services Programs have grown to serve the needs of the local communities like White Plains, NY in unique ways. This new program is no exception. Our skilled, compassionate, attentive staff of credentialed professionals provides a full range of medical, nutritional, social, and therapeutic recreation support services. Transportation and meals are provided. For more information on this program or any of our other Adult Day Care services please call 914-681-8696.
